today i poured myself the last of the cereal in one of our assorted cereal boxes into a bowl, folded down the box and threw it and the bag inside away. then i discovered we had no milk and was thus left with a bowl full of dry cereal. mmm...
and just a second ago i performed the WORST SHAVE IN THE UNIVERSE EVER. by the end of it i was bleeding in no less than TWELVE PLACES.
i only have one face...

New journal new journal
today i got the new queenadreena album, currently only out in japan. (i splurged because i love them more than anything! ehehe...)
ive only had the chance to listen to the first 4 songs so far but its sounding really cool! night curse is a brilliantly simple song!
i think theyre shopping around to find a good publisher for the uk at the moment so itll turn up over here somewhen
nt that it matters to me cos i already have it. hoorah!!
so in summary. djin, the new queen adreena album is, so far... quiiite niiice!!

in other news that no doubt will make no impact on anyones lives other than my own, i bought a graphics tablet recently and have been playing with it every now and then, when im not sleeping or in uni or hanging out in my house mates' respective rooms
everyone seems to have an xbox 360 but me...

what a great day! we've been having a symposium at uni where we given the chance to sit in on lectures with professional illustrators and designers, all organised by our tutor amanda (who is lovely, but is unfortunately leaving at the end of this term. which isnt lovely)
anways, today was the second day and we had a lecture and then a digital painting workshop with mr christian bravery (great name, right??), the founder of leading light conceptual design

this guy is seriously the real deal. he is mega skilled with a tablet and it was brilliant to get a chance to see him working and have a look at his stuff. i didnt know the name before hand, but when we got into it i realised i recognised a lot of his stuff. he did a lot of the art work for the black and white games and also bits and pieces for ea and microsoft. check the website, its all on there
there was actually only about six or so of us in the workshop after the talk so we all got a chance to talk to him, and it turns out he's a really solid guy too! seriously, i was so impressed today! eeeeheheh...
theres another workshop with him tomorrow but unfortunately i cant make it to that one which is a real shame. but girlfriend takes priority

and he said he was really impressed what i had produced using only a trackpad! i dont even have a mouse =_=

(oh, also i got the new faint album yesterday. im listening to it like... all the time right now. its about on par with the last album, (though still not a brush near danse macabre) more kinda dirty electro dance with a few static-ey guitar driven songs, theres some really niiice stuff going on in there. best songs: forever growing centipedes, i treat you wrong)
